It’s been a weird week for me. Is there some bizarre astrological thing happening or something?

Ups and downs and twist and turns. Decisions to be made. Battles to fight (or not). Sleep to be had (or not).

You know…a less than inspiring week.

But it wasn’t all bad. Here are few things that caught my eye and brought me back to center–or just made me smile.

Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love, has fast become one of my favorite people on Facebook. When I read this article she posted, I felt connected to every woman in the world who’s ever thought less of herself because she couldn’t “do it all.” Read it if you’re one of them – you’ll feel better.

Are you a House of Cards fan? I am, and I love Claire Underwood’s fashion sense–if not her dirty politics. Apparently, I’m not the only one.

I love this reminder from Ralph Waldo Emerson to keep growing:

“Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered you will never grow.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

My friend Nathalie Lussier, digital strategist and tech entrepreneur extraordinaire, wrote this post about making your goals happen. It’s just like rowing, she says. (Nath likes analogies, and so do I.) Have a look if you’re feeling stuck.

We celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in the U.S. this week. That always makes me and my Irish blood happy.

Happy Friday! Have an extraordinary weekend.

P.S. Tomorrow is pancake day in my house. I’m DEFINITELY making these!
