We start with a complimentary consultation. We’ll discuss your specific needs, time constraints, and budget and make a recommendation for your best path forward. My flexible packages are tailored to you; we can create anything from a companion workbook to an interactive online course to a facilitator/coach certification program to live workshops or podcasts (or any number of other learning experience configurations).

Then, I and my learning design and production partners create your learning experience in three phases:

Phase 1:

Learning Experience Development & Content Review

We start with a collaborative session to understand your book’s core concepts, target audience, and your vision for the accompanying learning experience. We do a thorough review of your book and any ancillary content with an eye towards refining existing exercises and identifying gaps we might fill with new ones.

  • A detailed inventory of existing content
  • Expert notes on how to leverage existing exercises and recommendations for where to insert new ones to support the reader comprehension

Phase 2:

Custom Learning Experience Strategy, Design & Production

In this phase, we build a strategy and detailed blueprint for your learning experience and produce all supporting assets.

Our knowledgeable learning experience architects and instructional designers create a detailed plan for guiding your readers through the concepts in your book. We develop customized exercises, activities, and learning materials that align seamlessly with your book’s content. Our design documents are durable but flexible and can be used to update your learning experience as your goals evolve over time.

  • Interviews with you, readers, and other relevant subject matter experts

Phase 3:

Learning Experience Launch & Promotion

Once your learning experience is ready, we develop a communications plan and assets to help you launch and promote it to your existing audience and beyond, maximizing its visibility and impact. We also help you choose and set up a dedicated learning platform to deliver your learning experience, providing a user-friendly interface for your audience to access the content and materials.

What is a learning experience?

We use the term “learning experience” as a catchall for an educational experience that centers the learner and their needs. The way in which that experience is delivered can be quite variable depending on those needs. It could be a lecture in a classroom. Or a self-study workbook. Or an interactive online course or program with or without facilitator support. It could happen in a school or a museum. In a boardroom or Zoom room. Or even outside in the woods! As long as it nurtures the learner and helps them internalize and apply the knowledge they seek.

Will I have to spend time maintaining my learning experience after launch?

That’s entirely up to you! There are solutions for every situation—from completely hands off (like a workbook) to full engagement with your readers and learners in an interactive online course and community.
