“I finally did it. I did the dream of what I always wanted and it backfired on me. I was sick, I wasn’t taking care of myself. It could have fallen apart.”

Meg Trainer is the founder and co-owner of Bounty Kitchen, a restaurant in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle that celebrates the local bounty of the Pacific Northwest region. While working at restaurants to pay her way through college, Meg discovered a passion for the food and beverage industry – and eventually ended up at Whole Foods Market as a Regional Associate Coordinator in the Pacific Northwest.

It was at Whole Foods where Meg’s experience of food and health changed forever and the seeds of Bounty Kitchen were planted.

Meg and I talk about her journey as a restauranteur and busy entrepreneur struggling to prioritize her health and wellbeing while growing a thriving business and community; and about the transformative power of mindfulness.
