“To me, when we’re well, we’re in this place that in yoga we call ananda. Ananda is a sense of joy and contentment that has no opposite. So it’s not happiness, it’s not like I just feel happy and elated. It’s a place of satisfaction despite whatever stresses are coming your way that day.”

Adrienne Rabena is founder of Seattle’s Bohemian Studios for yoga and barre, and creator of the Barre Bohemian barre method and The Craft of Teaching Yoga.

As a a yogi-entrepreneur and wellness industry innovator, Adrienne must have this whole self-care thing figured out, right? Wrong. Like most of us in the business of helping others be well (including me!), Adrienne also struggles sometimes with prioritizing herself.
