I declare smoothie season officially OPEN!!!
Some people drink smoothies all year, but I just can’t get on board with the icy goodness until spring.
I’ve been experimenting in the kitchen the past few days and wanted to share what I think might be the best green smoothie recipe ever created (if I do say so myself).
Lara’s Crazy Good Green Smoothie
Serves 1.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cold almond milk
- 1 cup spinach (or dark leafy green of your choice)
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder (you can use regular cocoa powder, but you’ll get a bigger nutrient kick from the raw stuff)
- 1 tablespoon raw honey
- 2 ice cubes (optional, but I like my smoothies on the colder side)
Blend until smooth and serve immediately.
Take a sip. I’ll wait…
Amazing, right?! It’s energy-packed, keep-you-going-all-morning (or afternoon), sweet chocolatey smoothie goodness. Great for breakfast or an afternoon snack.
And this is just the beginning. My smoothie obsession won’t kick in 100% until summer, so stay tuned for more of my smoothie concoctions.
In the meantime, share your favorite smoothie ingredient combos in the comments. I’m always looking for more ideas. 🙂
P.S. The Effortless Eating Program starts again soon! I’m cooking up some new (and free) goodies to give you an inside look at the program + simple tweaks you can make to your self-care habits for massive results…before the program even starts. Get on the list to get them!
